Motorpoint Arena Cardiff

Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is a massive 5,500 capacity venue that has seen some of the biggest musical acts in the world play since its opening in 1993. With the likes of the Killers, Slash, Nickelback and Motorhead set to rock audience in 2012 the Motorpoint Arena really is the top place to go and watch internationally renowned bands. First class venue.

The Exchange Hotel

The Exchange Hotel is another fantastic music venue in Cardiff, located on Mount Stuart Square in Cardiff Bay. The old hall creates an awesome atmosphere when packed out and with bands like Band of Skulls set to rock audiences in the next few months the venue is perfect for local bands to try and get supporting slots.

The Live Lounge

The Live Lounge is well known by locals as a fantastic night out. Located at 9 The Friary, CF10 3FA the Live Lounge attracts the best of the UK's up and coming bands to rock audiences, with the likes of S&M, Livewire, The Wonders, The Big What?, Godhead Number and many more gracing the stage in recent months. Young local bands should be banging on the Live Lounge's door to get as many spots supporting these awesome bands as possible, a music venue in Cardiff.

Cardiff Students' Union

Cardiff Students' Union also puts on some great gigs over the year, catering to Cardiff's massive student scene. In the last few months Ben Howard, Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines are just a few to have rocked student audiences - well worth keeping your eye on who is performing. It is a fantastic venue to start your gigging career as well as regularly holds open mic nights - for the more experienced local bands try and get yourself a slot supporting one of the bigger bands coming to the SU like Funeral for a Friend. Top venue & a must if you are a local band trying to build an audience with a student population.
