Hello! my name is Angharad Davies, a professional singer and singing teacher, offering lessons from beginner through to advanced level.
I believe that a good basic technique is transferable to any style of singing and am happy to teach and apply this to you and what you want to work on, from classical styles to pop.
I teach from a full equipment music studio in the centre of Cardiff - perfect for learning to sing. This means that all you need to take my lessons is yourself. If you wish to play guitar or piano as well this is also possible but please let me know beforehand.
My lessons are always built around you, the student. I fully believe that we will always learn better when we are faced with familiarity. This means we will work on the music that you know and love & move on from there.

I offer my students the chance to take graded exams, as they can be a great way to mark your progress and they also give a real sense of achievement, but undertaking grades is certainly not compulsory.
Indeed, many of my students simply learn to sing for their own enjoyment. The main focus of the lessons is to learn and enjoy what you do. Singing is a great way to relax and have fun for all ages.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

I currently charge £20 for a half hour lesson and £38.50 for an hours lesson.
I currently teach from my home teaching space on Cathedral Road, Cardiff, CF11 9HD.
I have experience in teaching all ages from 7 and up.
Most pupils have an hour's lesson. However, for younger children, I suggest that a half an hour lesson is more suitable. Equally, if you'd prefer to begin with a half an hour lesson to see how it goes, we can always increase the lesson to an hour once you feel more comfortable and/ or if you feel an hour would be more beneficial.
Yes. I am fluent first language Welsh speaker. Lessons are available in English or Welsh. I have helped prepare many of my Welsh language pupils to prepare for school, Urdd and local Eisteddfod competitions.
